Are You Ready For Spring? |

Hi ,
Congratulations on another great semester! I hope your Fall classes went well and that you're getting ready for your holiday break. As we wrap up another semester, here are a few things you won't want to miss! In this month's academics newsletter, we have more information on:

Are you interested in working in putting your production skills to the test in a live environment? Our classes in the Live Production, Streaming & Esports pathway cover event design, camera work, graphic asset creation & integration, on-air commentary, production control room operations, and more! Conveniently located at Skillshot Media next to the Lindbergh MARTA station, these are the perfect classes for students looking to add hands-on live production skills to their toolkit. Whether you're interested in video-switching, audio engineering, graphics operation, replay operation, or even being a solo live-streamer or content creator, this pathway is your launchpad into the fast-paced and growing field of live production. |
|

Registration for Spring 2026 classes is still open! Classes are filling fast, so make sure you register before they're gone. You can check out the full schedule of classes on our schedule page. Remember: always check with your school for what is specifically available to you.
P.S. Did you enjoy your GFA 1000 class? Let your friends know! We've still got plenty of seats at Trilith Studios in the Spring. We'd love to welcome new students to the GFA next semester! |
|
Unsure how to register? Here are some tips for you! |
- Register directly through your student portal just as you would for any other class. Simply look for the "GFA" subject code.
- If you don't see any available seats, try refreshing your page. It may take up to 10 minutes for a new seat to load in.
|
| |
- Register for GFA classes the same way you have in the past. You can find our courses listed under the "FILM" subject code.
- If you are unsure how to register for classes through your school, reach out to your registrar's office for assistance.

Sign up for classes directly through our registration site! |

|
Is the class you're interested in already full? The next thing you should do is add yourself to our waitlist! If extra seats become available, we will release them to the waitlist on a first come, first served basis. |
|
|
If you completed your 18 credit hours at the conclusion of the Fall semester or had already completed them, now is the time to petition for your GFA certification! If you're in your 3rd class (or 4th, or 5th, or 9th 😉), you are eligible to submit your petition. |
|
Fall 2025 late petitions are now being accepted through the end of January. Late petitions may be delayed in receiving certification. Eligible students can expect to receive their certification via email in late-February. No petitions will be accepted after January 30. |

The GFA was honored to receive a Community Partner Award from Re:Imagine On November 18th during their Re:Imagine Her event. This award recognized the work we have been doing alongside Re:Imagine to bring exciting hands-on opportunities to up and coming high school filmmakers.
This event brought together emerging and established women and nonbinary creatives in film, television, and media for an evening of inspiration, connection, and community. We were very honored to receive the award and are looking forward to more collaboration in the future! |
